On November 23, 2008, The Colbert Report, a left-leaning news parody television show, presented a Christmas skit performed by Willie Nelson. Willie is portrayed as a [fourth] wise man singing to the Baby Jesus on the night of His birth. Nelson's song promotes salvation and “Peace on earth” through the use of marijuana. This is Willie Nelson’s sapient advice and gift to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, one he contents is a preferable gift to frankincense and myrrh. By the completion of his serenade, the wise men and the stable animals are all smoking pot in the manger. Other than Mr. Colbert, I cannot imagine anyone thinking this humorous. Willie Nelson’s opinion does not count, as I doubt the burned-out, cannabis-cured tax evader knew where he was at the time, or what he was doing!
I urge you to write the CEO/Chairman of MTV Networks, Judy McGrath @ 1515 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10036, to give her your impressions of “Spiritual Correctness” in this matter. She needs to understand how viscerally offensive this kind of material is to those who have turned over their lives to Jesus Christ. If you do not have time to write, call her @ 212.258.8000.

It is very clear that the secular world has taken on the philosophy, that Christianity is a "Joke", or even to some, a lifestyle to be "hated". I totally agree, that it is high time that Christians stand up and demand, "Spiritual Correctness". We as Christians have certainly been expected to adopt the philosophy of "Political Correctness".
We live in a country that allows us all to express "Freedom of Speech", including someone who decides to produce a satirical skit against the one (Jesus), that many of us sacredly "worship".
Maybe it is time to rethink what we are "free' to do in this country, and think more of what is "appropriate" to do in this country.
Willie Nelson's skit was disrespectful to our Faith, and certainly Inappropriate.
